In anticipation of another shutdown, we are beginning procedures to be able to do contactless delivery. We had so many drivers who have decided not to drive during the pandemic. This is one way we thought we could re-activate them safely. We have tossed around food pantry delivery as well as grocery/med delivery, as needed. I know some of you are already doing this. My questions are: Are you charging the client? How are you charging (set rate, fee scale, per mile)? How are you recording miles (unloaded delivery, loaded delivery, unloaded)? We have WisDOT approval to provide this service as well as client transport in our County-Wide Volunteer Program. Any other comments & suggestions are welcome as this is new to us.
