Transit Program Manager (Two Positions) with WisDOT (Job ID 4149)

The Division of Transportation Investment Management is seeking to fill two Transit Program Manager (Program and Policy Analyst Advanced) positions! Both positions are headquartered at the Hill Farms State Office Building in Madison, WI.

This position manages the Enhanced Mobility of Seniors & Individuals with Disabilities Program. The goal of this program is to improve the mobility of seniors and disabled persons by offering technical and financial assistance to eligible applicants. This position reports to the Chief of the Public and Specialized Transit Section, Bureau of Transit, Local Roads, Railroads & Harbors. This position conducts analysis, development and distribution of program information, application requirements, and the distribution of approximately $4 million annually to private nonprofit and local public grantee agencies within rural and small urban portions of the state. The position also monitors and evaluates program reporting data and performs policy analysis. In addition, this position assures grantees are in compliance with federal program requirements and provides technical assistance to specialized transportation constituent's in the areas of policies and procedures, program management, coordination, operations, vehicle selection and maintenance and related functions. Assist with 5310 subrecipient compliance site review program.

The other position serves as the Department’s expert on procurement and contracting activities related to transit programs. In this role, the position is responsible for managing and overseeing procurement and contracting activities in relation to the expenditure of approximately $175 million dollars of transit funding. Responsibilities includes analyzing and interpreting state and federal procurement regulations, developing adequate and compliant policies and procedures, and implementing the program through development and delivery of outreach, training and oversight initiatives and across transit programs. This position serves as the primary resource for procurement technical assistance and oversight for the Transit Section as well as for grantees and subgrantees. This position will also be responsible for assisting in the preparation for and response to federal and state level oversight audits and management reviews of the Transit Section.

Forest County Volunteer Drivers

The Forest County Office on Aging is looking for people to volunteer to deliver Meals on Wheels meals to older adults in the Crandon area. We deliver meals on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week and the meal pick up is at the Crandon Community Building. A car and insurance is needed, although we offer mileage reimbursement of .51 cents per mile and .50 cents per meal delivered. We offer training and the equipment you will need to deliver the meals. You can volunteer once a week, once a month, or whatever fits your schedule. If you are interested, please call Tammy Queen, Aging Director at (715) 478-7712.
